I really hate airplanes. And I hate the fact that my parents don't seem to understand the fact that I am not going to get on another one for as long as I'm alive. Maybe will do an exception for 12h+ planes, but I doubt it and also doubt I'll ever take another one. And then, they act as if it's such a big deal that instead of taking a plane and feel like I'm on the verge of dying 5h (10 counting the way back) and almost having a mental breakdown, I'd much rather prefer taking a bus for 20h (40, again, counting the way back) that stays on the ground. Like? And then they say "it's going to be really pricy"?? Right, but if it's my brother they're talking about, they can pay for it, but since it's for me, I need to be the one doing the paying. And the argument doesn't even make sense. The price for going by flixbus is quite literally the same price as taking the plane. Plus, they've told me over and over again to not worry about prices of things like uni, since they can afford them perfectly fine. But if it's spending 150€ on a flixbus ticket, now it's such a big deal? And they say that "they're going to be worried for 24h". Right, since so much can happen to me in those 1-2h I'll spend off of the bus sorounded by people in broad daylight. And the rest of the time I'd be spending it on the bus. Where very obviously NO ONE WILL TRY ANYTHING. Since not only can people see it happening and intervene, but you can also perfectly fine go up to the driver and tell them "hey, this person has tried to do something to me, is there any way we could stop so that the police can detain them?". I hate this. And the fact that they don't take my fear seriously too.
On a happier note, yesterday it was my friend's b-day party. It was fun. I bought the same book same edition as another friend, but she said she'll give her (b-day girl) the ticket so that she can return it. Oh, and when I went to buy it I also bought the bllk vol 20. Pretty obvious why that one exactly. I wanted to buy it in english but ended up settling for the french one, since (1) they didn't have it in english, (2) it (en version) costed almost 17€ while the french was 7,20 and (3) the en ver didn't appear on the website, so I didn't know if they would get it in stock soon or anything like that. But anyways, it's not like I bought it to read it (and either way, I can read french, I just don't enjoy it).
